The American Grandma

The American Grandma website is owned and run by Kay Swatkowski. She wanted a website that would be easy to navigate as well as easy for her to update and make changes.

For the project I decided to use WordPress so that she could easily edit and update the site. I developed the theme from scratch and included a “featured article” image rotator on the front so she could highlight a specific portion of her website.

The site was developed to work with WordPress 3.0’s features allowing Kay to easily change menu options and the sidebar layout without needing any technical expertise or support.

Tweet Street Bird Houses

Tweet Street Birdhouses is owned and run by Joey Selander. Joey wanted a site where he could display his birdhouses, sell them, and let people know what craft fairs he would be at. He had a pre-set layout that he wanted to use, but wanted it to be customized to better suit his needs
For the project I was able to customize his layout and used WordPress to allow him to easily update and manage his site. We also set him up with an e-commerce plugin to allow him to sell his birdhouses and manage inventory.

The Berumens

Lucio and Vanita Berumen are a missionary couple I developed their WordPress theme from scratch to make it easy for them to customize and update. They have the ability to change menus, the sidebar, and even set up photo galleries. The front page also features their most recent updates.
This design is currently in its final stages and some small changes are being made as they start to fill it with their own content.

Pinnacle Ministries

Pinnacle Ministries had been using FrontPage to maintain their website for a number of years. They decided it was time to upgrade to a more current web platform that they could maintain and update.
For the project I developed a WordPress theme from scratch that would allow them to easily update the content on their site. Their site also features a contact form and calendar of events which they can easily manage.


J. Howard’s Bistro – A Restaurant Theme

J. Howard’s Bistro is a theme that I have developed that will soon be for sale on the
ThemeForest.net WordPress theme marketplace. It was developed specifically for restaurants that need a website that they can easily update and maintain without needing any technical assistance.
The theme features customizable sidebars, menus, and a featured items area at the top of the front page.
(The site is currently full of filler text just to demonstrate the layout concept)
